Frequently Asked Questions about Registration and Devices
- To participate, you can register here with your fitness tracker.
- On your challenge page, fill out the registration form “Your Personal Data.”
- Complete the registration form, agree to the terms, select your fitness tracker, and click Submit to share your data.
- You will then be redirected to your account with your fitness tracker provider, where you log in and confirm the data sharing for Thryve or dasfitnesswunder. This establishes the connection to dasfitnesswunder.
- Afterward, you will automatically receive a confirmation email from dasfitnesswunder.

- Do you want to delete your old account and create a new one? Go to your account here and delete it. For the new registration, you will need your access code again!
- Do you no longer want your steps to be transferred to the challenge? As a fitness tracker user, simply go to your provider’s profile and deactivate the connection to Thryve or dasfitnesswunder. As a smartphone user, simply delete the dasfitnesswunder app – this will disconnect you from the challenge.
Frequently Asked Questions about Data & Synchronization
- Currently, most fitness trackers count steps based on movements, i.e., through the motion of the hand where the tracker is worn.
- There are also fitness trackers where you activate the specific sport profile during workouts, and the tracker measures your performance via your heart rate and converts it into steps.
- Your smartphone measures steps using a type of motion sensor.
- You mistakenly registered with the Samsung Health app as a user of a Motorola, Google, Xiaomi (or another Android smartphone) because you have the Samsung Health app installed. Steps are only transmitted from Samsung smartphones via the Samsung Health app.
- Android smartphones like Huawei, Google, & others should use GoogleFit.
- If you deleted the DasFitnesswunder app, the connection to the challenge is completely removed due to privacy reasons. You can participate again if you delete your profile and re-register.
- If no steps are coming through, close the Health app & the DasFitnesswunder app (close – don’t delete!) and restart both apps – the steps should then sync.
- You have revoked the connection to Thryve or DasFitnesswunder and disagreed to data sharing. If you disagree with the sharing of your data, we will of course comply. However, no steps can then be recorded for you.
- In your personal settings, you’ve configured that only you can access your data. In this case, if you wish, you can expand your settings to allow access to others. You can revert this after the challenge.
- There can occasionally be "traffic jams" in data transfer, so don’t worry if the steps don’t appear "just in time"; sometimes it takes a while.
- Your provider might experience a technical delay or issue. Don’t worry about it, and definitely don’t delete the apps. Steps won’t be lost, even if they appear later.
- If you’re using a fitness tracker, first sync the steps from your tracker to your provider’s app. From there, the steps will automatically be sent to us.
- If you’re using a smartphone, the DasFitnesswunder app and your Health app must be running in the background to transmit steps.
- Sometimes Health apps "freeze." Simply close the Health app & the DasFitnesswunder app (close – don’t delete!) and restart both apps – the steps should then sync.
- You’ve checked and resolved all the mentioned issues, but it still doesn’t work? Then send us an email here with the subject "missing steps," the challenge name, and your nickname. We will get back to you as soon as possible to resolve the issue.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: Participation via Apple and Samsung only works with the Apple Health or Samsung Health app, which must be installed on the phone. Other Android smartphones compatible with GoogleFit must have the GoogleFit app installed beforehand.
